Ummm... Hello, Palm Springs dream home!
Last Friday evening, I had the pleasure of photographing this newly remodeled home in Palm Springs, CA. This was my first time working with an interior designer on a photoshoot and I had a blast. It was nice to have him there so he could tell me what he was expecting for the photographs. I normally work alone, apart from the agent occasionally being present, so I did feel my creativity was slightly hindered during this photoshoot but, in the end I feel the photographs delivered are beautiful.
My favorite part of the home is its low maintenance desert landscaping that encloses the home into its own personal desert oasis. The rich greens provide a striking contrast against the modern ranch style exterior and interior. Living in the desert, you learn to appreciate all the different cacti that call the extravagant desert their home.
I get so excited when I arrive to a photoshoot and the house is prepped and shoot ready such as this one. The fireplace was lit, all the windows were open, and the lights were on to make the home-to-be feel warm and inviting for potential buyers. The backyard followed the theme throughout the rest of the home, it even had a glass fire pit - LOVE! Glass fire pits are so relaxing on desert nights and a pretty cool conversation piece for family and friends.
With the home being priced at $900,000, there's no chance I'll be moving any time soon but I enjoy my opportunities to view gems like this one in the desert.
